Your optional morning SPF reminder

Version: morning-spf-v1.0 · Last updated: 7 October 2026

Send me a morning SPF reminder when UV is forecast to reach 3 or above. Store my approximate area (a 0.1° grid cell) or use the clinic area for this reminder. I can turn it off and delete the saved area at any time.

This unticked choice on Today’s skin is separate from marketing. Choose the clinic area without using device location, or use a location rounded to a 0.1° grid. We round it again on the server and save only that coarse cell against your account, never a precise location or movement history. Device permission alone does not switch on the reminder.

At 07:30 Europe/London we obtain the day’s forecast peak UV for each distinct opted-in area, sharing a cached forecast between people in that area. If the peak is 3 or higher, we queue at most one care push for you that day. We respect quiet hours and phone notification permission. The notification contains general SPF advice and the forecast number, no product promotion, and opens Today’s skin. Forecast availability and delivery depend on the provider and your device; this is not a substitute for your usual sun protection.

You can withdraw at any time on Today’s skin, which deletes the account-linked area and suppresses an unsent reminder. Account erasure deletes it too. Your usual in-app UV choice remains a separate device setting. On iPhone, a coming-soon state appears until the push service is configured. We rely on consent under Article 6(1)(a).
