What we send, and why

This is a separate, optional choice that you make on the start screen, before your scan. Nothing is sent unless you tick the optional AI box and press Continue. The box starts unticked; leaving it unticked sends nothing to Anthropic. If you choose it, then once your results are ready we send this scan's photo, chosen goals and optional comment through our server to Anthropic PBC, our AI provider and processor, to help describe visible appearance. Your overview appears with your results. We do not send your name, email or account ID from your account, or any face landmarks or geometry. A face photo can still identify you. Please leave names, contact details and other personal details out of your comment.

The scan's measurements and markers run in an isolated frame on your phone. Anthropic returns structured observations and treatment keys; we check them and turn them into Refined-written wording from our versioned treatment guide. Your overview may suggest up to three treatments from our menu that people often choose for the priorities you selected. We use your chosen goals and comment to understand preferences such as avoiding needles or allowing little downtime. Suggestions link to a currently published treatment, its family page or a free consultation. We always offer a free consultation.

It does not write unrestricted advice, change your photo or decide whether a treatment is right for you. This is not medical advice. It is not a diagnosis or a medical assessment. Your practitioner confirms suitability at your free consultation. We do not suggest prescription-only treatments. Lines and wrinkles lead only to a free consultation. If your comment mentions pregnancy, breastfeeding, a medical concern or being under 18, we show no treatment suggestions and ask you to tell us at your free consultation.

Anthropic's terms and retention

Anthropic processes this information under its Data Processing Addendum, part of its Commercial Terms. Processing in the United States is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Anthropic does not use these inputs or outputs to train its AI. We do not send feedback to Anthropic or take part in training opt-in programmes. Under its standard API terms, Anthropic deletes inputs and outputs within 30 days. If it flags an input for possible misuse, it may keep that input for up to two years, and the safety scores used to assess misuse for up to seven years. It may keep information longer if the law requires it.

What we keep, and your choices

You can request up to three overviews per email or mobile.

We hold the uploaded photo in request memory only while obtaining the overview; we do not log it or store a copy on this path. We briefly hold the structured observations with a verification reference, valid for 30 minutes, so only your own genuine overview can be saved or shared. Expired verification records are removed by our scan deletion worker. We keep only the structured overview in your saved scan record, and only if you separately choose to save or share it, for up to 12 months unless you delete it sooner. Keeping or sharing a photo needs its own separate choice. Hermes, our separate clinic assistant, cannot access any scan information.

To scan without it, leave the AI box unticked and press Continue. Your choice applies to this scan, including if you choose another photo, and starting a new scan asks again. If an overview cannot be written, trying again needs you to press Try again. After sending, we cannot undo processing already carried out or promise immediate deletion from Anthropic; the periods and exceptions above apply. To withdraw, stop requesting overviews, delete saved scans and use Stop sharing in Profile > Privacy and data, or contact us. We will help with any request about data already sent. Refusing or withdrawing does not affect your care or your on-phone scan.

We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) and explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) where the information relates to health. Our privacy notice explains your rights. Questions: [email protected].
