Every advanced treatment needs an in-person consultation first. These aren’t booked off a price list. Two-week review included on every treatment.
When “advanced” actually means.
Advanced protocols use the same medicine as classic anti-wrinkle. Botulinum toxin Type A. Prescription only. But injected into different muscles for different effects. The technique is more careful. Imprecise placement matters more here.
Brow lift targets the small muscles that pull the brow down. Soften those. The elevators win. The brow sits a few millimetres higher. Subtle. But measurable in photos.
Lip flip puts a tiny dose into the muscle that purses the upper lip. The lip relaxes outward. A sliver more pink shows. An alternative to filler if you want a subtle change without volume.
Gummy smile softens the muscle that lifts the upper lip too high when you smile. The smile shape stays yours. Less gum shows.
Masseter (jaw slimming) is one of the highest-impact protocols. Injecting into the masseter softens jaw clenching. Great for bruxism and TMJ pain. The jawline gradually slims over 4 to 6 weeks. Lasts 4 to 6 months.
Neck / Nefertiti lift uses small doses along the platysma (the band of muscle in the neck). It softens the downward tug on the jawline. Subtle improvement to neck-jaw definition.
Hyperhidrosis is the medical name for heavy sweating. Same medicine, injected into the underarm, hands or feet. It blocks the signal to sweat glands for 4 to 6 months. Genuinely life-changing for people who’ve struggled with this for years.
Who this is for.
Advanced protocols suit you if you:
- Have a specific concern that isn’t solved by classic three-area treatment
- Have realistic expectations. Advanced protocols are subtle, not dramatic
- Are 18+, in good health, not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have wedding photos / events at least 2-3 weeks away
I’ll typically suggest classic anti-wrinkle first if you:
- Are completely new to injectables. Classic forehead/glabella/crow’s feet is the right starting point
- Want to see how your face responds to the medicine before going to advanced areas
- Are looking for masseter for bruxism. This we may go straight to with appropriate consultation
From door to done.
First time? Consultation is required. Advanced protocols aren’t booked off a price list. We talk through what you want to fix. I look at your face in proper lighting. We agree the plan.
On treatment day, we cover consent and the questionnaire. Numbing cream isn’t usually needed (the injections are tiny). Available if you want it. Each injection takes a few seconds. The whole appointment is 30 to 45 minutes depending on areas treated.
Results show from day 3 to 5. Peak at day 14. I always do a 2-week review on the house. For masseter and neck, the muscle-thinning effect builds over 4 to 6 weeks.
The same rules apply.
- Stay upright for 4 hours. No lying flat
- No strenuous exercise, saunas, hot yoga for 24 hours
- No facials or facial massage for 14 days
- Sleep on your back the first night if possible
- For masseter: chew softer foods for the first few days; jaw fatigue is normal
- For hyperhidrosis underarm: avoid heavy lifting for 24 hours
Risks: brief asymmetry that fixes at the 2-week review. Mild headache for a day. Pinpoint injection marks. For brow lift, eyelid drop is the rare complication we cover in detail. Everything resolves fully as the medicine wears off. That’s the safety net.
