Thinking about aesthetics as a future career? Spend time with me, Rachel, in my working nurse led clinic in Seaton Delaval and see what the role involves before committing to training.
Each shadow day is one to one with me, an NMC registered nurse. It is observation only, so you will not treat clients or handle clients or equipment.
Online booking for January dates will be switched on separately. You can ask me about availability in the meantime.
Time in clinic.
About 4 hours with me.
About 8 hours with me.
Both options are paid in full when booked. Shadow days start in January 2027.
What you might see.
You can observe consultations and how I assess suitability, as well as consent, record keeping, hygiene and sterile set up. I will also show you the aftercare and day to day work involved in running a small clinic.
Every clinic day is different. I ask clients before you join any appointment, and some may prefer not to be observed. Their choice is respected.
Who can come?
You must be 18 or over and respect client confidentiality. Photos and recordings are not permitted.
These days are for observation only. They are not training or a qualification. I can provide a certificate of attendance on request; it is not a training or competency certificate.
Places are non refundable. You can move your booking once if you give me at least 7 days notice.
A few things to know.
Who is a shadow day for?
Anyone aged 18 or over who is considering a future career in aesthetics and wants to see a working clinic before committing to training.
Will I be able to practise?
No. You will observe only and will not treat or handle clients or equipment.
Will every client appointment be available to observe?
No. I ask each client before you join their appointment. Some may prefer not to be observed.
Will I receive a certificate?
I can provide a certificate of attendance on request. It is not a training or competency certificate and the day does not give you a qualification.
Can I change my booking?
Places are non refundable, but you can move your booking once with at least 7 days notice.
Can I take photos or recordings?
No. Please respect client confidentiality throughout your visit. Photos and recordings are not permitted.
